TimePlan are currently supporting a Special Needs school in Southwark, who are is committed to providing an inclusive, nurturing environment for students with diverse learning needs.

As the School Office Manager you will play an essential role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school. You will be the heart of the school's administrative operations, providing efficient and effective support to staff, students, and parents. This is a varied and dynamic role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the office staff and oversee the day-to-day operations of the school office.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date record keeping (e.g., student attendance, safeguarding records, and other confidential documents).
  • Coordinate communication between staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Oversee administrative tasks such as managing school correspondence, arranging meetings, and assisting with the planning of school events.
  • Provide support to senior leadership and teaching staff with administrative tasks as required.
  • Ensure the smooth functioning of the school's resources and supplies.
  • Handle any queries or concerns from parents, visitors, or staff in a professional and friendly manner.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a school office, ideally within a managerial role (experience in a SEN school is an advantage).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with an ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
  • Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SIMS, school management systems).
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile.
