Role Summary

The FX dealer position will understand the FX market and be primarily responsible for ensuring all client FX transactions placed through the EQPay platform are covered with the market.

Core Duties/Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for monitoring and executing the FX Spot and Forward order book, ensuring all FX market risk is covered promptly and appropriately
  • Update FX rates and general maintenance into the EQPay platform
  • Perform daily checks to ensure all transactions booked on the platform align to those executed with our banking partners
  • Ensure overall FX spreads are appropriate to protect EQPay from volatility around market events and in extreme circumstances
  • Build relationships with our banking partners for order execution
  • Closely monitor market developments
  • Ensure banking partners are providing agreed and best pricing on all currency pairs as per our banking agreements
  • Client interaction for trading queries and amendments
  • Management of trade reversals (cancellations etc) from bank perspective
  • Comprehension and adherence to compliance obligations, company risk management, Anti-Money Laundering and all company policies.

Skills, Capabilities and Attributes

  • A sound knowledge of the FX market and the associated adherence to FCA regulation
  • Strong communication skills; ability to communicate technical market information to non-technical audiences
  • Team oriented, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships at all seniority levels, both internal and external.
  • Negotiation and persuasiveness for obtain best market prices
  • Focus on creating positive first impressions and demonstrating professionalism.
  • Good organisational and time management skills - with attention to detail.
  • A high degree of self-motivation, with an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
