Job Requirements/Description
A busy and expanding logistics operation is seeking a Transport Planner to manage day-to-day transport planning and execution within the domestic pallet network. This role requires a commercially aware, detail-oriented individual with strong organisational and communication skills to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant movement of palletised goods.Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate transport movements using both in-house and approved external suppliers.
- Plan and schedule collections/deliveries, ensuring route efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor real-time shipment progress, resolving issues as they arise.
- Liaise with drivers, depots, and customers to maintain on-time performance.
- Ensure compliance with all transport regulations and company policies.
- Manage supplier performance and enforce service level agreements (SLAs).
- Maintain accurate records and data entry into transport/logistics systems.
- Report on KPIs, operational issues, and cost performance to senior management.
- Previous experience in transport or pallet network operations.
- Strong planning and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office.
- Flexible, proactive, and professional approach.
Working hours:
- Monday to Friday : 9am-6pm/10am-7pm
