SEND Mentor - Primary (SEMH & ADHD)

A nurturing and forward-thinking primary setting is seeking a dedicated SEND Mentor to join their team, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and ADHD. The school provides a highly supportive environment with a strong focus on therapeutic approaches, emotional regulation, and personalised learning.

About the Role

The SEND Mentor will:

• Work closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Support children with SEMH and ADHD to engage positively in learning
• Implement behaviour-regulation strategies and restorative approaches
• Build trusting relationships to help pupils feel safe, valued and understood
• Liaise with teaching staff, safeguarding teams and external professionals
• Help to create a calm, structured and supportive learning environment

Ideal Candidate

The ideal applicant will have:

• Experience working with primary-aged children
• A background supporting pupils with SEMH, ADHD or similar needs
• Strong behaviour-management and de-escalation skills
• Patience, resilience and a genuinely nurturing approach
• The ability to form positive, stable relationships
• A passion for helping children overcome barriers and thrive
