Fixed-term, up to 12 months

London - Hybrid (2 days in the office)

Part-Time - 20 hours per week (Flexible, spread across 3-5 days)

40,000 - 45,000 (Pro-rata for part-time)


The Opportunity:

Are you an experienced HR professional looking for an exciting opportunity to work in a part-time role within a prestigious organisation? We are seeking a dedicated HR Officer to join a passionate team and support a range of human resources functions, contributing to an inclusive and positive workplace culture.

As HR Officer, you will assist in various areas including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training. You will work closely with the Head of HR and Senior HR Assistant to help manage and optimise HR processes, while ensuring the organisation remains compliant with legal standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the recruitment process, including creating job ads, organising interviews, and ensuring seamless onboarding for new hires.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for staff, providing advice on employee-related matters, and handling issues like grievances and absence management.
  • Partner with managers to drive employee performance, offer guidance on goal-setting, and identify development needs through performance reviews.
  • Assist in developing and updating HR policies, ensuring legal compliance, and promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Organise and evaluate training sessions that enhance employee skills, working closely with managers to ensure continuous professional development.
  • Provide administrative support in managing employee benefits and rewards programmes, ensuring employees are well-supported.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, generate reports on key metrics, and analyse data to identify trends that inform business decisions.


Your Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a generalist HR role, with a proven ability to advise on complex employee issues.
  • A solid understanding of UK employment law, HR policies, and best practices.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a confident approach to interacting with employees at all levels.
  • A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Previous experience using HR software.
  • A commitment to diversity and inclusion, with the ability to advocate for a positive workplace culture.
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent qualification (desirable)
