Working Site Supervisor

Madisons Recruitment are working with a reputable contractor within their Water Authourities Division in their search for a Working Site Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive carpentry/multi trade experience.

As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing daily operations at various job sites overseen by our Project Manager. Your role will involve supervising a team of tradesmen and sub- contractors, ensuring compliance with quality and safety regulations, and maintaining high standards of reporting.

Duties include:

• Supervise and manage a team of tradesmen and sub-contractors at multiple job sites
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Co-ordinate and schedule work assignments for the team
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications
• Provide guidance and support to team members, including training and development opportunities
• Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and any incidents or accidents that occur on-site
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
• Resolve issues or conflicts that arise during the course of work
• Working on the tools where required with a suitable Carpentry / Multi Trade Background

Experience:

• Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the construction or related industry
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
• Ability to read drawings and interpret project specifications
• Proficient in using computer software for record keeping and reporting

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum 3 year s experience
• Extensive carpentry/multi trade experience
• SMSTS / SSSTS (or keen to achieve these)
• Driving Licence (preferably clean)
• Own basic tool kits
• NVQ L4 Construction Site Supervision (or keen to achieve)
