Senior Export Manager

Noble Recruiting are currently recruiting a confident and experienced Senior Export Manager to join our friendly and proactive Client in Basildon, Essex.

Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within the local area. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

• Role will be working within their current structure and to take a supervisory position over the existing Export and Cross Trade team.
• Main responsibilities will be to manage the team processes and ensure the department runs to the required weekly deadlines.
• Role will initially handle all non-aligned global forwarding cargo movements (FCL & LCL) but ultimately to oversee our core export consolidations. The team leader will also manage profit and loss for the department as well as being the go-to liaison point for the Warehouse manager and the Import department.

The role will suit a person seeking a challenge and one that can provide answers to questions that our customers bring to us, having a flexible, proactive and resourceful approach to business.

Your responsibilities include:

• Good knowledge of Export shipping procedures
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong communication with customers
• Ability to negotiate with suppliers
• Ocean and Transport experience
• Supervisor / Team Leader Experience

Ideal candidate will have:

• Prior experience in Freight Forwarding/Shipping Environment.
• Good level of computer literacy.
• Export Experience required.
• Experience within Cross Trade.
• Assertive, able to motivate team members
• Able to communicate in a clear, concise, and logical manner both verbally and written.
• Be able to organise and multi-task.
• Very Organised with willingness to take responsibility for own workload
• Driver with own transport is desirable.
• UK resident and the right to work in the UK.
