Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with a range of special educational needs (SEN) in both small group and 1:1 settings.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored educational programs and interventions.
• Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Work closely with class teachers, SENCo, and other professionals to monitor student progress.
• Assist with personal care and ensure the safety and wellbeing of students.
• Provide emotional and social support to students as required.
• Encourage positive behavior management and promote independence.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children, ideally with SEN, is desirable but not essential.
• A genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Flexibility and adaptability in supporting students with a variety of learning styles.
• A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
• An understanding of autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other SEN is an advantage.
