Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide high-quality night care. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, particularly with Alzheimer's and dementia patients. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing quality of life.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Assist with mobility and hygiene.
Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
Maintain accurate records of patient care, including behaviour management but you know what has he got and case management notes.
Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe environment for clients.
Support clients with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client progress and any concerns.
Requirements
Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing home or hospice care is preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with care plans is advantageous.
Certification in First Aid is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
Ability to handle challenging behaviours with patience and understanding.
A valid driving licence is essential for transporting clients as needed.
Physical capability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by client needs.
