Personal Care Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Location: Wandsworth, London

Contract: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Nurture Education is seeking a caring and reliable Personal Care Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support pupils with additional physical or medical needs in a primary school in Wandsworth.

The successful candidate will provide both educational and personal care support, ensuring pupils are safe, comfortable, and fully included in all aspects of school life. This is a rewarding role for someone who is patient, empathetic, and passionate about making a difference in children's lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing personal care support, including assistance with toileting, feeding, and mobility.
• Supporting pupils in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
• Promoting independence, confidence, and wellbeing.
• Working closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to meet individual care plans.
• Maintaining dignity, respect, and confidentiality at all times.

• Kind, patient, and committed to supporting children with additional needs.
• Experience providing personal or medical care (school or care setting desirable).
• A good understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build strong relationships.
• Reliable, flexible, and able to respond to pupils' individual needs with empathy.

Desirable:

• Experience working with pupils with physical disabilities, medical conditions, or complex needs.
• Training in moving and handling, intimate care, or first aid.
