Production Engineer - Precision Engineering

Are you an experienced Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer / Cost Engineer or perhaps a time served machinist looking for the next stage in your career? Do you you have an understanding of tooling design, production methods and cost estimating?

I am working with a precision engineering company established in 2003, specialising in sub-contract milling, turning, presswork projects to the defence communications and medical sectors.

About the Role:
Due to organic growth they are now looking to add new talent to the team.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist or manufacturing engineer looking to transition into a production engineering role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quoting work for customers and providing accurate cost estimations.
• Designing tooling and developing efficient production methods.
• Progressing customer orders and ensuring timely delivery.
• Liaising with shop floor staff to ensure smooth production processes.

What We're Looking For:

• Apprentice trained or a minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering roles.
• Strong knowledge of milling, turning, and press work processes is essential.
• Knowledge of Tricorn MRP (advantageous).
• Experience with AutoCAD (advantageous).
• Proficient in computer skills and familiarity with production planning tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Salary circa 27k - 47k depending on level of experience the candidate can bring
