1:1 Learning Support Assistant

TeacherActive are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in South Ockendon. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting SEN students, helping them achieve their full potential in a safe and encouraging environment.

• Provide 1:1 support tailored to the specific needs of SEN students
• Assist students in accessing the curriculum and developing essential skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to create effective learning strategies.
• Promote positive social interaction and emotional well-being.
• Help maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.

To excel in this role, you should have:

• A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Qualification, preferably
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential).
