Why Join Our Client? Our client, a highly respected organisation in Reading, is seeking a
proactive and knowledgeable HR Advisor to join their team. Working closely with the
Head of HR, you ll play a vital role in shaping and delivering HR services across the organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of HR functions while making a real difference to employees and managers alike.
What You ll Be Doing: Recruitment & Onboarding Managing end-to-end recruitment, writing job adverts, conducting interviews, overseeing pre-employment checks (DBS, Right to Work), and coordinating onboarding.
Employee Relations Supporting managers with HR queries, advising on policies, assisting with investigations, grievances, and disciplinaries.
Payroll & Benefits Working with Finance to ensure payroll accuracy, managing pensions, life assurance, and researching potential new benefits.
Wellbeing & Engagement Promoting EAP services, running workshops, supporting employee surveys, and enhancing internal communication.
Training & Development Coordinating training programs, managing training requests, tracking learning and development needs, and maintaining training records.
HR Systems & Compliance Managing HR records, generating reports, ensuring GDPR compliance, and keeping HR processes streamlined and up to date.
What We re Looking For: CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) Essential
3-5 years' HR experience in a generalist role, including recruitment and employee relations.
Strong
knowledge of employment law and best HR practices.
Confident advising managers on HR policies and procedures.
Excellent
organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work
autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
