Build & Configuration Technician Up to £35,000 - Watford

VIQU have partnered with an established IT solutions provider who are seeking a Build & Configuration Technician to join their growing team. This role involves assembling, configuring, and maintaining IT equipment, ensuring readiness for deployment across various locations.

Location: Watford

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per Annum

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Build & Configuration Technician:

• Configure and test IT hardware to required specifications.
• Build and asset tag IT hardware ahead of deployment.
• Receive and inventory IT equipment from suppliers.
• Prepare and pack IT equipment for shipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on IT equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, equipment status, and locations.

Required Experience of the Build & Configuration Technician:

• Hands-on experience with configuring IT hardware and software.

• Experience with Microsoft 365 stack and set up.
• Experience in IT assembly, configuration, testing, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of IT hardware specifications, safety, and best practices.
• Physical capability to handle IT equipment.
