The role

AMS is the world's leading provider of Talent Acquisition and Management Services. Our contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) service acts as an extension of our clients' recruitment team and provides professional interim and temporary resources. We partner with Arup to support contingent recruitment processes. On behalf of Arup, we are looking for an Architect on a 6-month rolling contract based from our London office.

We work closely with Arup's unparalleled range of engineers and specialists to deliver the most cutting edge buildings, within the realms of Engineered Architecture, where engineering and architecture meet to deliver advanced, efficient and fully coordinated buildings.

About you

Right now we're looking for a motivated Revit technical Architect, who is keen to be involved in challenging and innovative Data Centre projects, based in our office in London.

You will join a vibrant, diverse, multidisciplinary office. Working within the Architecture Team as part of a large Multidisciplinary Team, in one of our Engineering groups. You will provide strong design support, working through all stages of project development from Concept stage to Construction.

Essential skills & Knowledge

  • Master's in architecture or equivalent. Minimum RIBA Part 2 or equivalent.
  • Post Part 2 work experience for a recognised design organisation or client body
  • Demonstrates design flair with both technical and analytical skills, 3d thinking and ability to model, draw, document and detail in Revit
  • Highly motivated, proactive with a passion for learning new skills in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary environment. Communicative, Curious, Collaborative, Conceptual Thinker, Collegiate with excellent planning and organization skills.
  • Responsible, and self-motivated with excellent communication skills and team-work spirit.
  • Excellent Revit skills, able to document and model following client standards, and the ability to integrate and coordinate within client templates.
  • Ability to lead a package or a large part of a project as required.
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines such as Civils, Structure and MEP
  • Understanding of international building codes required
  • Knowledge of UK building codes and approved documents required.
  • Data Centre design experience preferred but not essential
  • Technical detailing for construction and specifications writing experience preferred for Grade 5 applicants
