About the Role We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our growing team based in Faversham, Kent. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in reviewing, estimating, and preparing detailed electrical quotes and proposals for a variety of projects. Your work will directly contribute to improving the company s operational efficiency and effectiveness, helping us deliver high-quality electrical services to our clients while maintaining profitability and customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities:

• Estimating & Quotation Management:
  Take full responsibility for reviewing and preparing electrical estimates and proposals for new projects. Provide accurate and timely quotes based on project specifications, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
• Win Ratio Target:
  Aim to achieve a win ratio of 15-25% for new project estimates, contributing to the growth of the company while maintaining quality and profitability.
• Departmental Strategy & Processes:
  Manage and implement strategies and processes within the Estimating Department. Ensure consistency and efficiency in estimating practices across all projects.
• Project Support & Assistance:
  Assist other team members in estimating larger and more complex projects. Provide support and guidance as necessary, sharing expertise to strengthen the overall team s performance.
• Profitability Management:
  Ensure that 100% of projects estimated are delivered profitably by adhering to cost control measures and monitoring margins closely throughout the process.
• Customer Satisfaction:
  Strive for 100% customer satisfaction in all aspects of estimating and project preparation. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, offering value engineering (VE) solutions and addressing concerns proactively.
• Proactive Value Engineering:
  Bring innovative and proactive value engineering (VE) ideas to every estimate. Focus on ways to improve project delivery, reduce costs, and increase value for both the client and the company.
• Handover to Project Management Team:
  Upon winning an estimate, ensure smooth handover of projects to the Project Management (PM) team, assisting in any way needed during the execution phase to ensure project success.
• Team Collaboration & Relationship Building:
  Build and strengthen both existing and new client relationships to foster long-term partnerships and encourage repeat business opportunities.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator with a track record of preparing accurate and profitable estimates for electrical projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation processes.
• Ability to manage and implement estimating strategies and follow them throughout the project lifecycle.
• A strong focus on profitability, customer satisfaction, and delivering high-quality results.
• Demonstrated ability to assist on larger projects and collaborate with other team members.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, project managers, and internal teams.
• Ability to think proactively and bring value engineering ideas to the table.
• Experience using estimating software and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
