About the Role
We're seeking empathetic, proactive Welfare & Safeguarding Officers to support asylum seekers across designated regions. You'll be the frontline link between vulnerable individuals and the services that protect and empower them-delivering high-impact welfare checks, safeguarding interventions, and multi-agency coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of asylum seekers in your assigned area
- Conduct daily welfare and safeguarding visits (approx. 15-20 households/day)
- Liaise with external bodies including local authorities, healthcare providers, and housing teams
- Make referrals where necessary to ensure safety and wellbeing
- Maintain accurate records and escalate concerns appropriately
- Work with interpreters where language support is required

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in welfare, safeguarding, housing, or support work
- Full UK driving licence
- Full-time availability
- Strong communication skills and an empathetic approach
- Ability to work independently and manage a dynamic caseload
