Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and deliver a complex cut-and-carve project in London. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in managing construction projects, ensuring cost efficiency, and successfully navigating all phases of project delivery. This role demands expertise in temporary works, structural modifications, and drainage systems, while maintaining progress within challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Control: Develop and monitor budgets, ensuring projects remain financially viable and cost-effective. Identify potential cost risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Temporary Works: Coordinate and manage temporary works, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project requirements. Review designs and supervise implementation to ensure stability and efficiency.
  • Demolition (Demo): Plan and oversee demolition activities, ensuring environmental considerations and safety compliance are prioritized. Collaborate with teams to achieve smooth transitions into subsequent phases of construction.
  • Structural Steel: Manage all aspects related to structural steel works, including design review, installation supervision, and quality assurance. Ensure the steelwork meets project specifications and standards.
  • Drainage: Oversee drainage system planning, installation, and maintenance during the construction process. Ensure compliance with regulations and optimal functionality in the completed project.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track project milestones and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met. Communicate progress effectively with stakeholders and adapt plans to address any challenges or delays.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction, ideally within cut-and-carve projects.
  • Strong knowledge of cost control processes and tools.
  • Expertise in temporary works, demolition, structural steel, and drainage systems.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry.
  • Excellent communication skills for client liaison and reporting.
