About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join our dynamic Design & Technology department. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop their practical skills, creativity, and understanding of nutrition and food science.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and KS5 if applicable)
• Prepare and maintain practical lessons, including safe use of equipment and ingredients
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback
• Contribute to the development of the curriculum and resources
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
• Participate in departmental meetings and whole-school events
• Support extracurricular opportunities such as cooking clubs or healthy eating initiatives

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• A degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related subject
• Experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary school setting
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• A genuine enthusiasm for food education and student development
• Up-to-date knowledge of health & safety and food hygiene regulations
