About the RoleTrident Healthcare is seeking a passionate and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to support children and young people in Bromley. This is a rewarding opportunity to work across specialist education and care settings, delivering impactful therapy and contributing to life-changing outcomes.
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you'll be part of a collaborative clinical team, working alongside educators and care professionals to embed communication strategies and support neurodiverse individuals.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver speech and language therapy assessments and interventions tailored to individual needs
- Collaborate with staff and families to implement effective communication plans
- Contribute to EHCPs and attend multidisciplinary meetings to advocate for service users
- Provide training and consultation to staff to promote communication development
- Maintain accurate clinical records and support service improvement initiatives
Essential Criteria- Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree
- Valid and up-to-date HCPC Registration
- Registered member of RCSLT
- Minimum 18 months' experience working with this client group in a similar setting
- Highly developed specialist knowledge and clinical understanding underpinned by theory and practical experience
- Experience in multi-disciplinary working across a range of settings, with some responsibility for service and team performance
- Skilled in communicating with and working with families, relatives, and carers
- Experienced in developing training and delivering in-person presentations
- Experienced in providing professional and clinical supervision
- Experience in participating in research projects and conducting audits
Skills - Essential & Desirable- Exceptional relationship-building, analytical, and judgmental skills
- Exceptional communication skills (oral and written)
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Advanced knowledge and experience in core areas of SaLT practice
- Clear understanding of RCSLT Communication Standards
- Advanced knowledge of approaches related to neurodivergence, cognitive differences/difficulties, and trauma-informed practice
