Import Operations Administrator

A client of ours in the Basildon area are recruiting an Import Operations Administrator (Air & Ocean) to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm and paying 30,000 - 32,000 per annum depending on experience.

Key Duties include but are not limited to:

• Quoting for and supervising of all relevant bookings
• Creating jobs in the company Freight Management System
• Invoicing for department
• Liaise with accounts department with any sales/cost queries.
• Assisting the Line Manager & Directors in identifying and developing of new accounts/business lanes
• Ensuring that clients satisfaction is met and if possible exceeded
• Working with the Line Manager & Directors to create and achieve departmental and personal budgets
• Assisting in managing key Airfreight & Sea Freight Accounts and being involved periodic meeting with the clients
• Working within and in accordance with rules governing a known agent and their relevant status
• Assisting the Line Manager & Directors in development of the department

Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Import Operations Administrator (Air & Ocean) position:

• Extensive general knowledge of all aspects of shipping.
• FCL & LCL Ocean Import Freight, including end to end documentation
• Excellent communication skills
• Logistics distribution and supply chain industry experience essential
• Air &Ocean Export knowledge is desirable.
