Job Title: SEN Teacher - Special School

Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

Salary: £32,916 - £51,048 per annum (MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance where applicable)

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: January 2026 or ASAP

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and well-resourced special school in High Wycombe. The school supports pupils with a range of special educational needs, including SEMH, Autism and complex learning needs, and prides itself on providing a personalised and nurturing approach to education.

• Plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons tailored to individual needs.
• Create a positive and safe learning environment that promotes engagement and progress.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to provide holistic support.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and community engagement.
• Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.

• A qualified teacher with QTS/QTLS (applications from ECTs with SEN experience will also be considered).
• Experience working with pupils with SEN/SEMH/ASD in a school or specialist provision.
• Strong behaviour management and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
• Resilience, creativity, and a passion for supporting children with additional needs.
