Postgraduate Admissions Administrator

Are you detail-focused, proactive, and experienced in Higher Education? Do you enjoy supporting students and academics while managing complex processes with care? Signature Recruitment is working with a prestigious London university to find a Postgraduate Admissions Administrator. In this hybrid (3 days on site, 2 from home) role, you'll work closely with a small, friendly admissions team and liaise daily with PhD supervisors and clinical academics. This is a 3 month temporary role.

As Postgraduate Admissions Administrator, you'll handle end-to-end PhD applications, supporting around 500 students across multiple departments. You'll manage the admissions inbox, review applications, and ensure conditions like interviews and funding are confirmed before offers are made. You'll need to feel confident managing systems and processes independently. The ability to multitask, stay organised, and communicate clearly is essential.

Postgraduate Admissions Administrator Key Responsibilities:

• Process PhD admissions applications from initial enquiry through to offer
• Liaise with students, supervisors, and academics to confirm documentation and funding
• Manage the shared admissions inbox and answer queries accurately and promptly
• Maintain up-to-date student records using Banner (student information system) and local databases
• Coordinate and minute selection panels for funding schemes
• Support postgraduate student events and training sessions

Postgraduate Admissions Administrator Key Skills:

• Experience in Higher Education admissions or research administration
• Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and multitasking skills
• Confident using systems and databases (e.g., Banner or equivalent)
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with staff at all levels

This Postgraduate Admissions Administrator role supports exciting academic research across departments specialising in brain science, immunity, infection, and digestion. Significant experience in Higher Education administration is essential, ideally including direct involvement in research degree processes.
