Remedy Education is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Lewisham that is seeking a dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and looking to gain long-term experience in a nurturing and structured school environment.

• Supporting students with ASD on a 1:1 basis or in small groups

• Working closely with the SENCO and class teachers to deliver personalised learning support

• Using structure, routines, and visual aids to help pupils manage their day

• Promoting independence and building confidence in students with communication or sensory needs

• Assisting with daily transitions, behaviour management, and classroom organisation

• Experience supporting children or young people with Autism or similar needs

• A patient, calm, and consistent approach to behaviour and communication

• Confidence working with secondary-aged pupils, ideally within an SEN or inclusive setting

• A proactive mindset and ability to adapt quickly to different student needs

• Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or TEACCH (desirable but not essential)

• Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE level or above)

• Quick & remote registration - simple, one-link process with video call

• Consultant support - from CV writing to interview prep and on-the-job advice

• Temp to perm pathway - secure a long-term role with opportunities for progression
