Band 7 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a Highly Specialist Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to provide services across Central Bedfordshire special schools. This role involves delivering highly specialist clinical support to children with complex communication and/or eating and drinking difficulties (dysphagia), including those requiring AAC (augmentative and alternative communication).

The post holder will work closely with school staff and multidisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose, and implement evidence-based therapy plans. Duties include supporting the development of communication strategies within the schools, delivering training for staff, and attending case conferences or multi-agency meetings.

This flexible role offers opportunities for both clinical autonomy and leadership, including mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to service development. Applicants must hold an Enhanced DBS and be registered with HCPC.
