We re offering a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and growing business working on diverse and exciting projects across the Home Counties.
This is a full-time position ideal for a motivated individual looking to grow their expertise within a highly experienced and supportive management team. You ll play an integral role in the cost management, procurement, and delivery of groundworks and demolition packages up to £1 million in value.
Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
- Monitor and control project costs, applications, and valuations
- Assist with procurement and negotiation of materials and sub-contract packages
- Support the delivery team with project coordination and financial documentation
- Liaise with clients, contractors, sub-contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Produce detailed records, including BoQ-style breakdowns and reports
About You: We're looking for a proactive team player with a passion for construction and commercial delivery. While 3-5 years of experience in
Groundworks or
Civil Engineering is ideal, a keen attitude to learn and grow will be equally valued.
Essential: - Some experience in both Quantity Surveying and Estimating
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable working collaboratively with internal and external teams
Desirable: - Experience in procurement and material buying
- Familiarity with JCT and Minor Works contracts
- Ability to read rebar drawings and Bar Bending Schedules (preferred but not essential)
- Based in or near Hertfordshire / Beds / Bucks / Cambs
