Are you a practical, organised, and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting Design & Technology and Food Technology education? We are seeking a dedicated DT/Food Technician to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Newham on a full-time, long-term basis starting after the October half term.

About the Role:

As the DT/Food Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of both the Design & Technology and Food Technology departments. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and organising materials, ingredients, and equipment for practical lessons.

• Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-stocked working environment.

• Assisting teachers and students during practical sessions.

• Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring health & safety compliance.

• Supporting the creative and technical learning experiences of students across KS3-KS4.

About You:

• Experience working as a technician in a school setting (DT or Food Tech) is desirable but not essential.

• Strong practical skills and an understanding of workshop and/or kitchen safety.

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

• A proactive, flexible, and team-focused approach.
