Role Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (SEN) to join our supportive team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and other support staff to help students with additional learning needs achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN, both in and out of the classroom.

Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Support students in developing literacy, numeracy, communication, and social skills.

Adapt and differentiate resources to meet individual learning needs.

Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour in line with school policies.

Work collaboratively with class teachers to ensure inclusive teaching practices.

Record and report on student progress, behaviour, and achievements to the SENCO.

Support students with physical, emotional, or behavioural challenges in a sensitive and professional manner.
