We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic Safeguarding and Family Support Service as a Family Support Worker!

About the Role:

In this role, you will be part of an integrated team dedicated to promoting the well-being, social and emotional development, achievement, positive behaviour, and safety of children and young people.

As a Family Support Worker, you will:

  • Manage a diverse caseload: Utilise integrated tools and processes such as the Common Assessment Framework (CAF) and Team Around the Child (TAC) to support families with varying needs.
  • Provide expert guidance and support: Offer practical advice, tailored interventions, and continuous guidance to help families achieve positive outcomes.
  • Empower and support parents: Work collaboratively with parents to develop their skills, build their capacity, and facilitate smooth transitions for their children.
  • Coordinate with external agencies: Assist families in accessing and maintaining effective relationships with agencies including children's centres, educational institutions, health services, housing, and voluntary organisations.
  • Maintain high-quality records: Ensure all interactions and interventions are accurately documented, adhering to quality standards.

Your role will be pivotal in providing focused support to families, helping them navigate challenges and preventing the escalation of issues to statutory intervention levels.
