Surveyor (Remedial) - Home based with sites in London

Our client is looking to recruit a Surveyor to survey and prescribe remedial treatments for Damp & Timber, typically for domestic properties, working on a self-employed basis.

  • The successful applicant will ideally have some experience covering site visits, production of basic floor plans with site notes detailing issues and recommendations for remedial steps.
  • You will have a good understanding of damp & timber treatment options relating to structural damp in ground floor and below ground areas. You will have a good understanding of condensation.
  • You will have basic computer skills including; email, Microsoft Word and be able to produce digital floor plans. In house training will be provided.
  • You will be situated in, or close to the London area, have you own reliable transport and be available for travel throughout London and local parts of the Home Counties. Client liaison, good communication skills and a presentable appearance are essential.
  • You will have your own mobile phone and ideally PC, measuring/testing equipment may be provided along with training on digital drawing package and an initial period of shadowing during site visits.
  • You will keep your own record of costs associated with travel expenses supplying your receipts to us monthly.
  • Ideally you will be qualified with either

    Certificated Surveyor for Remedial Treatment (CSRT)

    Certificated Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing (CSSW)

    Certificated Surveyor of Timber & Dampness in Buildings (CSTDB)

    Certificated Surveyor of Dampness in Buildings (CSDB)

    or Damp Proofing Surveyor but it is not essential
