Commercial Engineer

A well-established UK catering equipment supplier is expanding its engineering team and is seeking an experienced Combi Oven Engineer to join its busy workshop operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on refurbishment work, problem-solving, and working within a fast-paced technical environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will work as part of an experienced engineering team responsible for servicing, repairing, and refurbishing incoming combi oven units ready for resale. The role is workshop-based with no on-site field service work required.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults, repair, and service commercial combi ovens within a busy workshop environment.
• Maintain accurate asset data using internal systems.
• Monitor and manage parts stock levels within the warehouse.
• Work closely with office and operations staff to prioritise repair schedules and workflow.

Required Experience & Skills

• Experience working with commercial combi ovens is essential.
• Strong working knowledge of Rational models is highly desirable.
• Experience with Electrolux, Convotherm, Bonnet, or Eloma units is advantageous but not required.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage workload effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical/electrical competency.

Additional Requirements

• Full UK driving licence
