Job Summary
Nationwide Vehicle Assistance are seeking to appoint a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne or Class1/2 Driver to join our ever growing team. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of vehicles. Being a customer facing role; good customer service and a high level of professionalism is essential.
The Truck will be parked at our Rochford location. This will be on a 5 on/ 3 off shift pattern for any of the following shifts:
Day Shift
7am-7pm
Night Shift
7pm-7am
6pm-6am
Benefits

Duties
Operate lorries for the purpose of delivering damaged/ broken down vehicles to various locations
Ensure the safe loading and unloading of vehicles, particularly on flatbed vehicles.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Assist in the maintenance of the vehicle by reporting any issues or required repairs promptly.
Requirements
Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating flatbed lorries.
Minimum 1 year's experience driving either a 7.5 Tonne, Class 2 or Class 1 vehicle
Proven experience as a recovery driver and/or mechanical knowledge desirable
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to navigate using GPS systems and maps effectively.
Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
