, 3-4 form entry primary school in Greenwich are looking to hire an outstanding SEN Teacher for their ASD provision.
Their Additional Resource Provision (ARP) offers specialised support to children with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) through to Year 6.
They are currently seeking a skilled and experienced SEN Teacher to join their team, leading their ARP, delivering adapted lessons to both classes and supporting the SENCO.
SEN Teacher for Additional Resource Provision (EYFS - Year 6) -
GreenwichKey Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality, differentiated teaching across EYFS to Year 6 students with a range of SEN needs, but mostly autism (ASD)
- Lead and manage a team of Teaching Assistants, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure effective delivery of SEN interventions.
- Work closely with parents, external agencies, and the school leadership team to monitor and review student progress.
- Ensure the learning environment is inclusive, nurturing, and supportive for children with varying needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and implement interventions when necessary.
- Foster a positive and respectful atmosphere within the Additional Resource Provision.
- Work alongside the SENCO to develop an effective curriculum which can be implemented across the ARP.
Essential Criteria:- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Extensive experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, particularly in an ARP or SEN setting.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of SEN provisions and strategies for supporting students with a range of needs.
- Experience in managing and leading a team of Teaching Assistants or other support staff.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team and communicate confidently with parents and external professionals.
- A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to teaching and learning.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable Criteria:- Understanding of TEACCH Frameworks
