DKF is recruiting on behalf of a highly respected, multi-million-pound specialist contractor with a nationwide presence and a strong reputation for excellence across the built environment. Operating through a network of expert divisions-each with their own leadership teams and regional offices

This opportunity is within their asbestos removal division which has been licensed for nearly 40 years. It's one of the most respected names in the industry - they're known for delivering complex, high-risk projects across a mix of sectors including central government, major property clients, the NHS, and even the Royal Household. They also work with housing associations, local authorities, and a long list of repeat clients.

As Contracts Manager, you'll be supporting the senior team in the day-to-day running of asbestos removal projects. That means everything from pricing jobs, running multiple sites, managing teams and keeping clients happy, through to making sure work is done safely, on time and profitably. It's a busy, hands-on role in a business that values people who can get stuck in and take ownership.

What your core responsibilities would be:

To confidently manage, control and oversee all aspects of the contract(s).

Communicate effectively with all levels within the organisation (Directors, Site Managers, Site Operatives and Sub-Contractors).

Ensure contracts are being carried out on site to a high standard and compliant with all health and safety regulations, whilst liaising with clients throughout.

To understand all financial aspects of the management process coherently from start to finish in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Handle incoming sales enquiries, developing new business leads and maintaining client bases.

Compile risk assessments, method statements, tenders, PPQs and ASBS notifications.

Manage all training requirements.

Manage all equipment servicing and maintenance.

To be considered for this role you must meet the following criteria:

Have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in a Contracts Manager role for a licenced Asbestos Removal Business.

Hold ARCA (or equivalent) Licensed Contracts Manager Refresher.

Extensive industry experience, inclusive of all asbestos legislation.

Capability to organise and run several varied projects.

Must be IT literate. The ability to operate programming software such as MS Project and Asta would be an advantage.

Good communication, literacy and organisations skills.

Fully aware of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation with the ability to assess and then produce Risk Assessment, Method Statements and Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans.

Good commercial awareness.

Management experience with behavioural awareness.

Full UK Driving Licence.

This is a rare opportunity to join a business that recognises the contribution and importance of its people at all levels throughout the enterprise and can back this up by staggeringly impressive statistics of staff retention and employee satisfaction.
