Location: Harlow

Days: Monday to Friday, Full-time

Pay Rate: £14.87 per hour

We are delighted to be supporting the local community with recruiting for a 'Casual Ambulance Driver'.

The Purpose:

You will be part of a team that delivers the highest quality care and safety to people being transported by ambulance to and from the centre. You will be involved in transporting elderly people to and from a centre from various locations throughout the town. You will be responsible for making sure our transport vehicles are kept clean and taken to a partner agency when servicing and MOT's are scheduled.

Key Responsibilities:

• To be conversant with the problems related to the clients travelling on the vehicles.
• To ensure safety by carrying out checks on both vehicle and safety equipment.
• To report any defects to the service and contracts manager or their representative immediately.
• To maintain and update daily log sheets and records.
• To assist with the transportation of clients to and from their own homes in specially adapted vehicles and tail lifts following set procedures.

Key Person Specification:

• Must have a D1 Licence entitlement.
• Experience working with older people is essential.
• A good geographical knowledge of Harlow is essential.
• A full UK driving Licence.
• A Satisfactory DBS check.
