Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Hertfordshire

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established facilities maintenance provider, working within a large commercial facility in Hertfordshire. Key Details:

• Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum (DOE)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am 5pm
• Location: Hertfordshire
• Benefits: Private healthcare, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays

Role Responsibilities:

• Carrying out PPMs and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services
• Working within a team to ensure all planned and emergency maintenance tasks are completed efficiently
• Diagnosing faults and performing repairs on HVAC systems, pumps, boilers, and other mechanical equipment
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
• Liaising with clients and stakeholders to maintain a high standard of service delivery

Requirements:

• Previous experience in mechanical maintenance within a commercial environment
• Relevant mechanical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds)
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and general mechanical plant equipment
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
