Job Requirements/Description

Purpose of the function

To work within the technical support team, providing analysis technical information and client reports to Wealth and Financial Planners.

Supervision and development of trainees assigned to technical support team.

Key accountabilities

•Communicate with Wealth Planning Product Liaison, Wealth Planners and Financial Planners to ensure all required information for report production is obtained in a timely manner.

•Ensure product research is kept up to date.

•Ensure that Technical Support Team workflow is efficient and managed effectively.

•Production of client reports within agreed timescales.

•Attend follow up meetings with Wealth Planners & Financial Planners to present solutions / cash flow models. Assist Wealth Planners & Financial Planners with all aspects of presentation meeting, including being sufficiently prepared to handle client questions and potential objections.

•Obtain and prepare paperwork required for client meetings and business submission.

•Deal with all forms of client communications (where needed). Ensure that clients are fully updated on planning progress with contact at least every 10 working days via Wealth or Financial Planner.

•Working alongside Paraplanning Manager - manage and develop Trainee Planners assigned to Technical Support Team by providing appropriate training inputs.

•Ensure technical knowledge is kept up to date across all areas of Planning. Provide regular legislative and regulatory updates to the team. Produce proposals on how to adjust process for any changes, if appropriate. Produce and keep up to date collateral on any topic.

Qualifications/experience required

•Advanced Diploma in Financial Services (desirable) - those achieving five years or more industry experience will be Chartered Paraplanner.

•Minimum 2 years industry experience in a paraplanning role. Able to demonstrate ability to undertake full range of financial planning analysis / reports.

•Experienced in all areas of advice including:

Tax Efficient Investing including use of GIAs, ISAs, SIPPs, Offshore Bonds, Loan Trusts, Discounted Gift Trusts & Family Investment Companies (desirable)

Retirement planning including Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution Pensions Advice, Annual Allowance & Lifetime Allowance.

Estate Planning/Inheritance Tax Mitigation and use of Trusts.

Non-Domiciled UK Residents

Cash Flow Modelling (Voyant)
