Early Years Practitioner

Our client, based in Surrey, is currently recruiting for two Early Years Practitioner on permanent contracts.

The position is due to start immediately on a part-time basis. The role is for 25 hours a week over 4 days. The salary for the position is £26,872 (FTE).

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children under the age of and their parents to foster positive environment in which the young person can thrive. This role offers a lot of creative freedom so would be attractive to an individual who is looking to put their stamp on the role.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Creating and delivering activities aimed and children under 5 and their parents
• Signposting clients to third party services where necessary
• Creating risk assessments to ensure the safety of staff and service users
• Ensuring that safeguarding procedures are always followed
• Building parent resilience through delivery of services
• Assisting in the smooth running of the centre
• Ensuring that play materials, equipment and play spaces are maintained, kept safe and stored appropriately in line with current procedures

Experience required:

• Experience required working with children
• Experience planning and delivering sessions that build parental skills

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Strong health and safety skills
• Compliance and due diligence
