The centre is part of a well respected group known for quality and a strong horticultural focus. With a newly laid-out site and a supportive Garden Centre Manager, they're looking for a strong manager to come in and shape the plant area.
Your Role:As Plant Area Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of the outdoor plant department, supporting a small, mostly part-time team that's still gaining garden centre experience. You'll take ownership of standards, staff development, stock control, and seasonal planning.
You'll need to be hands-on, consistent, and confident in decision-making, with the ability to coach a developing team while ensuring high levels of quality and presentation.
What We're Looking For:Solid plant knowledge across hardy, seasonal, and indoor ranges
Proven leadership experience with the ability to guide, coach, and delegate
Commercially aware with good ordering knowledge
Resilient, methodical, and confident in a dynamic retail setting
Someone who thrives in a team and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves
