Fund Accountant - Real Estate. OUR CLIENT is an award-winning, value add, real estate investment management firm with a strong track record and capital base. They have a number of successful funds and continue to launch new funds with strong backing and investor appetite for their products. As they continue to expand, they have instructed us to help them recruit for an additional new headcount for an experienced Real Estate Fund Accountant, who will be focussed on the preparation of management accounts for their value-add real estate funds and separate accounts. The successful Fund Accountant will be joining a small, dedicated finance team, supporting and working alongside their Finance and Operations heads.

THE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES of the Fund Accountant - Real Estate will entail but not be limited to:

• Providing end to end accounting for designated real estate UK based fund entities.
• Preparing management reports for both family office and real estate funds.
• Assisting with the preparation of the quarterly board packs, comprising profit and loss, balance sheet, cashflows and supporting documentation.
• Preparing year-end financial statements and assisting with year-end audits.
• Assisting with tax compliance, including quarterly VAT reporting.
• Assisting with the quarterly lender covenant reporting.
• Providing ad hoc financial analysis and ad hoc finance tasks and project work as requested.

THE PERSON and SKILLS REQUIREMENTS for Fund Accountant role:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• 1-3 years PQE in UK Real Estate Fund accounting - with an investment manager, service provider or dedicate portfolio in practice.
• Strong Systems and Excel skills.
