POS Designer

Position Title: Point of Sale Designer
Location: Chesham
Salary: Up to 32k DOE

Job Role
The Point-of-Sale Designer will work under the direction of the POS Design Manager to ensure that all designs meet the expectations and needs of the customer. This is a busy fast paced, very busy role that requires attention to detail, good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Taking responsibilities for specific named clients, providing a service from design conception to completion
Working closely across other teams to ensure design brief is completed accurately and timely
Contributing and leading on ideas and designs as part of a team using 3D Cad software and 2D design software.
Taking approved visuals/concepts and producing 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
Ensuring projects are designed to budget whilst actively looking for and promoting cost-saving opportunities during the design development
Creating project documentations that adheres to company defined processes - detailed parts drawings, general assembly drawing, dxf and artwork for printing.
Ensuring retail/POS designs are fit for purpose, adhering to any client requirements or health & safety needs.
Conduct sample testing as directed
Ensure design briefs /projects remain on schedule
Deal with queries and potential problems/issues sensitively and assertively
Amend designs after feedback
Adhere with all company policies and performance goals of self

Minimum knowledge and skills:
Experience in a similar large format / POS design role is essential
Competent user of SolidWorks
Good degree of technical knowledge balanced with creative ability and a hands-on approach
Strong computer literacy including three-dimensional conceptual ability and CAD
Strong written English, numeracy and organisational skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivated and able to demonstrate good use of initiative
Excellent team player who is able to role model the positive behaviours required of all staff
