The Data Integrity Officer will support services across The Barnet Group to prevent, identify and resolve priority data integrity and data quality issues. Working within our new Business Intelligence Team, the post-holder will show excellent attention to detail to spot anomalies, ask questions to identify errors, and make recommendations to improve data quality and integrity. The post-holder will play a key role in driving culture and behaviour change to support improved data practices, by building relationships with 'data owners' to help drive required behavioural change.
We are recruiting the Officer on a 12-month fixed term contract.
The post-holder will:
- complete a rolling programme of data validation exercises and targeted 'mini-audits'
- use data quality principles to identify disparities between data sets, and work with stakeholders to investigate and remediate data issues
- complete data clean-up exercises with relevant services
- develop controls such as exception reporting to improve the integrity of our data
- work with teams to improve the routine collection of equality and diversity data
- support the review and redesign of business processes that relate to data quality and integrity
- liaise with IT colleagues to develop and support robust reporting practices for core data.
We are looking for people who:
- have excellent analytical skills to analyse and interpret data with awareness and/or direct knowledge of best practices in data analysis and quality control
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills to influence operational and leadership groups on data integrity issues who can think holistically to make recommendations in how to mitigate risks around low data quality
- a customer-focused mindset to provide a high-quality data service to internal customers and sponsors, with the ultimate goal of improving the service delivery for our customers
- are proactive problem-solvers who work effectively with colleagues to understand and address data quality issues in their entirety, ensuring accountability information and solutions are provided comprehensively and within a data management governance framework.
