Document Controller Opportunity Based in Dartford Kent!

I am working with a traditional privately owned M&E subcontractor based in Kent in a search for a Document Controller. The business turns over 30M undertaking projects in the retail banking, government, commercial office and healthcare sectors. Their average project size is between 200K and 5M, with the majority of their projects being located in central London. Having been established over 50 years they benefit from being a preferred contractor for major blue-chip clients, client include: Willmott Dixon, Barclays and HSBC. This means they have a continuous and stable workflow. Having recently moved to a new head office, and with a forecasted 30M turnover for the year the business is looking to appoint a Document Controller.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Generation of reports
• Management of electronic correspondence, document storage, transmittal systems and procedures.
• Preparing documents for uploading / downloading
• Managing schedules of drawings and RFIs
• Manage existing document control process and procedures and support development / implementation of new project systems and procedures.
• Assisting the Project Leads with identifying relevant drawings that shall form part of the baseline and working with the Drawing Manager in keeping the drawings register up to date.
• Updating weekly reports to issue to clients.
• Chasing contractors for site reports.
• Checking dispatch documents are accurate.
• Update the revisions on drawings and as built drawings.
• Printing and scanning documents.

Location: Dartford, Kent (Office Based Full Time)

Salary: 35,000 + Pension

As they are a subcontractor, they use the main contractor on the projects EDMS system. As a business they offer training across ALL EDMS platforms and are looking for someone who has a variety of system knowledges under them.
