New customer facing role within this Tier2/3 business to lead systems engineering projects and processes. A great opportunity to build a career within a growing business and grow the systems engineering team.

An opportunity to work with prime contractors in the Defence and Aerospace sector on cutting edge existing and NEXTGEN projects. The ability to shape the way the client does systems engineering in a lead role which will grow as the team grows.

Essential Requirements of the Senior System Engineer Avionics

• Degree qualified in Electrical / Electronics / Avionics or similar experience
• At least 2 years commercial experience in a System Engineering role
• A proven background in developing avionics in an aerospace / defence environment (familiar with Avionics Interface Protocols like ARINC etc)
• Willing to travel to customer sites across the UK and Europe
• Able to capture customer requirements, working closely with aerosace and defence primes to understand their requirements, capture requirements and translate these down to the business
• System requirements and design at the sub-system / component level - not at the large scale 'systems of systems' thinker level
• Able to secure SC security clearance
• Willing to be on site in the office for 3 days per week

• Full lifecycle systems engineering from requirements all the way to delivery
• Previous customer facing experience with prime contactors
