Tradewind Recruitment have multiple ASD Teaching Assistant positions available across North London schools. These positions offer the opportunity to build a rewarding career in education while supporting neurodiverse children to reach their full potential.

As an ASD Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for the below:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Supporting the implementation of individualised learning plans and EHCPs
• Using visual supports, structured routines and autism-specific strategies to support learning
• Adapting resources and activities to meet diverse sensory and communication needs
• Supporting children's social communication skills, confidence, independence and self-advocacy
• Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals

To join us and be successful in this role you will ideally need:

• Genuine passion for working with children and commitment to inclusive education
• Patience, empathy and ability to build positive relationships with children on the autism spectrum
• Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm when supporting children through difficulties
• Willingness to learn ASD-specific strategies and undertake training (full support provided)
• Relevant qualifications in autism, childcare, health and social care or education (desirable but not essential)
• Current Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (where applicable) and professional references
• Complete CV detailing employment history for the previous 10 years where available
• Valid right to work in the UK
