Edge Of Care Family Therapist

We are looking for a Senior Family Therapist that will bring advanced training and expertise in systemic practice to support the delivery of high-quality interventions within the Edge of Care Team and more broadly across Children's Social Care in Tower Hamlets. This role will focus on delivering systemically informed consultation, formulation, and direct therapeutic work with children, young people (aged 8-17), and their families. The aim is to strengthen relationships, build resilience, and reduce the risk of family breakdown or escalation to care proceedings. The post holder will work with families where children are subject to safeguarding concerns, child in need or child protection plans, or are on the edge of care, as well as those returning home from an episode of care. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes social workers, clinical psychologists, and other practitioners, the Senior Family Therapist will contribute to a holistic, relationship-based approach to supporting families. The role also involves supporting the development of systemic thinking and practice within the wider workforce through modelling, consultation, and training. In addition, the post holder will contribute to service development by monitoring the impact of systemic interventions, supporting evaluation and learning, and shaping policy and practice in line with evidence-based approaches.
