Social Worker - Assessment pod, MASH service - Milton Keynes Council

Our client, Milton Keynes Council, is seeking an agency social worker for its Assessment pod in the MASH.

This role will last 3 months initially, and the pay rate is £38 umbrella.

The role will involve the following:

• The MASH is one team but comprises 3 distinct strands: early help, duty team and assessment pods
• This role is for the assessment pods
• You will complete s.17 Child and Family assessments
• Undertake single and joint enquiries under s.47
• There are 3 pods who rotate on a weekly basis (assessment week, triage week, focus week)
• Hybrid working with the option to work from home during weeks 1 and 3 of the team rota (after a successful induction has been completed)

Requirements of the role:

• Qualified Social Worker
• Fully Social Work England registered
• 3 years post-qualified experience in employment of a local authority (DFE rules)
• Must have completed "Achieving Best Evidence" training
• Must have significant experience in a duty, assessment or MASH type setting or child protection/CIN
