Mechanical Engineer (Building Services)

We are seeking a talented and motivated Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our clients team and contribute to the successful delivery of a data centre project. No experience required in the Data Centre sector, however we are looking for someone with experience in the building services or engineering sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed project schedules and resource plans.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and issues.
• Implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Review and approve mechanical design drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration.
• Provide technical support to the construction team.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality.
• Resolve technical issues and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality control procedures.
• Monitor project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare and submit accurate project reports and forecasts.
• Communicate effectively and proactively with clients to address their needs and concerns.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing projects in the building services sector such as commercial fit-out projects, including Cat A and Cat B fit-outs.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Excellent project management and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
