Technical Designer / CAD Technician - Drylining and Ceilings

Our client has a robust technical design team of ten people, including a Design Manager (2D CAD) and a BIM Manager (Revit 3D Modelling). A design led subcontractor who specialise in D&B ceiling and partition fit out, working with tier one main contractors. Our client has a very open and collaborative approach to construction and the whole design team works together to find solutions. They offer a huge amount of progression within their business, from both a professional development perspective and also building your knowledge with technical design.

Additionally they are spearheading the way with BIM, currently undergoing their BIM Accreditation and therefore will offer you the opportunity to begin your design journey with 3D modelling and BIM.

Due to an increase in work, they need to bolster their design team and together we are searching for a Technical Designer / CAD Technician.

You will ideally come from a background in fit out, and need to have excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD with a proven track record in detailing construction drawings as well as floor plans, sections and elevations. Knowledge in drylining, partitions and ceilings would be a huge benefit for this role.

You will report into the Design Manager and work alongside and in collaboration with other Technical Designers to bring their projects to life and something which can be built on site.

The London division turnover circa 30M and they have many other sister companies and regional business hubs which means they are a cash rich company, as this has always been their strategy to spread the risk on contracts, ensuring financial stability.
