Software Engineering Manager

- Software Engineering Manager - Surrey - Hybrid (3:2) -

We're looking for a Software Engineering Manager to support, drive and build a high performing development team, inspiring a small but growing team to create cutting-edge solutions that optimise processes and contribute to the success of projects.

You'll be joining a collaborative, innovative and ambitious team, within the engineering sector, who invest in your development and wellbeing, providing an environment that supports you at whatever career level you are at. This is a newly created role and a fantastic opportunity to put your own stamp on the position whilst using your skills and expertise to elevate others and drive strategic goals.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading the small development team and driving collaborative and continuous improvement
• Engaging and collaborating with company-wide stakeholders and aligning the software development activity with the business strategy
• Reviewing existing processes and finding ways to optimise and automate those processes
• Driving the adoption of cloud technologies
• Coaching, mentoring and supporting the development team
• Overseeing all areas of the software development lifecycle
• Consistently horizon scanning for industry trends and emerging tech

What you'll need:

• Proven experience in software development, automation and optimisation
• Knowledge of agile methodologies
• A passion for people and being confident and comfortable in the coaching and mentoring space
• Deep knowledge of IDEs, .NET framework and Azure DevOps
• Experience with Azure Cloud services, particularly in web app development
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
